Add a High Risk Indicator
If you learn that a patient is high-risk, you can add a "high-risk" indicator to their SafeScript Regulatory profile so that practitioners can use this information when assessing treatment of the patient. If the information is incorrect, you can remove the indicator.

Indicate a patient as High Risk
You can add a High Profile indicator to a patient's Regulatory Profile.

Search for and Select a Patient.
- Select the High risk message checkbox. The High Risk Indicator Message popup displays.

Under Risk indicators, click to display a list and select the checkboxes for any that are relevant.
Click away from the drop down list when you are finished selecting the checkboxes.

Under Additional Information:
By default, LAIB ORT is set to No. However, you can click No to toggle the setting to Yes.
When you change the setting to Yes, the following default text is then added to the text box, replacing any text that is already in the text box.
This patient has a pharmacotherapy permit that also includes Long Acting Injectable Buprenorphine (LAIB) - please contact and discuss with permit holder prior to prescribing.
You can edit the above text or add your own text.
Add any relevant text in the text box. (Maximum 1000 characters).

Select an Expiry date. By default the date is set to one year from today.

Click OK. The profile header displays the indicator with the expiry date.

Save the patient's profile.
Change the High Risk indicator details
You can change the High Risk indicator details from a Regulatory Profile.
- Search for and select a patient whose record currently has a High Risk indicator.

In the patient profile header, select the High risk message checkbox.

In the High Risk Indicator Message popup, change any of the following fields:

Expiry

Select OK to confirm.

Save the patient's profile.
Remove the High Risk indicator from a patient
You can remove the High Risk indicator from a Regulatory Profile.
- Search for and select a patient whose record currently has a High Risk indicator.

In the patient profile header, clear the High risk message checkbox.

In the High Risk Indicator Message popup, select Remove indicator.

Select OK to confirm.

Save the patient's profile.
